Created "How Online Education Gets Green Jobs" for the International Online Education Conference and Learning Times, a multimedia power point presentation and associated webpage that relied on unemployment data, Recovery Act funding, Agency expenditures, education and workforce training programs to demonstrate how online education can ease the transition from manufacturing to the energy efficiency sector to obtain green jobs.
Created and produced user access only website for Information Architecture Team’s Environmental Data Portal. The Portal is a collaborative effort between the private and public sector that structures historical and real-time environmental data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries (NMF). The Portal will be used to evaluate climate change impacts on the ocean. The website showcased the attributes of the Portal.
Created and produced an introductory White Paper for IA-Team’s Environmental Data Portal. The White Paper was used to develop private public partnerships to gather and structure data, ultimately, for use in climate change analysis
Comprehensive Restoration Plan: This Comprehensive Restoration Plan addressed CERCLA, NRDA, NEPA, CWA and CAA requirements through an integrated format to gain an early settlement for the Bunker Hill Basin-Wide Superfund Site in Idaho. This document was developed on behalf of ASARCO and Hecla mining companies as input into the NRDA Trustee's Restoration Plan for the Basin.
White Paper: Researched the U.S. and international mining sector, primarily through analyses of SEC filings, to identify marketing opportunities. The resulting White Paper was written for managers to use in their marketing efforts which resulted in one new client for the firm within a six month period
Analysis of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA): This report analyzed the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) regulations in relation to blood lead data for a smelter site in Nebraska in support of analysis of the data by a non-governmental entity.
Insurance Cost Recovery Report: This insurance cost recovery report, prepared on behalf of Hecla, analyzed NPDES groundwater and surface water exceedances over a 70 year period in the Coeur d'Alene River Basin, in conjunction with development of the CWA and associated state water requirements.
Applicable or Relevant and Appropriate Requirements (ARARs) Analysis for the Eastern Michaud Flats Superfund Site (aka Simplot or FMC) Feasibility Study: This ARARs analysis was written for the Feasibility Study for this Site.
Preliminary Site Characterization Report (PSCR) for the ALCOA (Point Comfort)/Lavaca Bay Superfund Site: This multi-volume PSCR, multiple sections of which were written by three different contractors, underwent numerous revisions and resulted in a report that seamlessly met the consent decree scope and milestones to characterize the Site.
Historic Preservation Report: This analysis, prepared on behalf of ARCO, described how the selected remedies at the Clark Fork/Silver Bow Superfund Site were going to affect registered historic properties scattered throughout the Site. The report was submitted to the EPA and community stakeholders and gained approval.
Wrote sections and created graphics for the Colorado Rare Plant Field Guide which “… will facilitate the collection of botanical data, be indispensable to the establishment of conservation priorities, and enable informed management decisions.
The 1993 Directory of Conservation Land Trusts prepared for The Land Trust Alliance. This document presented land conservation data, such as amount of acreage protected by a specific land trust and methods used for conservation (e.g., conservation easements).
