For all the transportation sector people out there here’s your opportunity to transition to alternative energy but you have to act quickly; the deadline is May 29, 2009.
The Department of Energy through the Recovery Act is making $300 million available for alternative transportation options including biofuels, hybrid cars, and associated infrastructure. The 50/50 cost share funds will go to states, local governments, metropolitan transportation authorities (or any combination of these) working in conjunction with designated Clean Cities Coalition members (see Clean Cities Coalition).
