I’m writing something on how to make biodiesel and learned that glycerin is the byproduct of the process. The glycerin can be made into soap or used for compost if you remove the resulting methanol. If you don’t remove the methanol you can drop it off at your local sewage and waste treatment facility where they can use it for methane gas production, which is another way cogenerated energy is made and used. Check your local sewage authority because only some states have these types of cogeneration abilities.
